Amazing conversations. Daring adventure. Unparalleled peace.

Get away from the noise and distraction and venture into the wilderness for a week away with nothing but Creation to occupy our days. Every other summer, NSL returns to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area to spend a week paddling and listening for the still small voice of God. Gliding across pristine lakes, reading the Bible on a waterside rock, and talking about faith around the campfire are just some of the amazing ways this trip is different than anything else you’ll experience.

Each trip consists of 2 leaders and 7 students. We spend 5 days in the wild, with a bunkhouse stay at the beginning. The cost includes travel, permits, paddling gear, food, and camping gear. Participants will be given a packing list of personal items to bring.

Limited Space Available

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need camping experience?

The Boundary Waters is an intense wilderness experience. While the trip is open to students of all camping abilities, it is recommended that you at least know you enjoy being outdoors for multiple days.

What do I need to bring?

A complete packing list will be provided closer to trip departure. In general, you will bring clothes and personal camping gear (sleeping bag, headlamp, etc.) Most of the gear and all of the paddling equipment are provided by NSL.

Why are there so few spots?

The BWCA only issues permits for parties of up to 9 people.
